Pink Shirt Day was started in a Nova Scotia high school, when two students decided to take a stand against bullying in their community. Since their initial stand, this movement has grown and turned into the phenomenon known as Pink Shirt Day.
On Pink Shirt Day, people are encouraged to wear something pink to show that we are all working together to prevent bullying in our schools, in our communities, and online.
Here at Christian Thought Sandbox, we know what it is like to be bullied. Whether it is on the playground or over the Internet, bullying is a destructive force in our world. Lives have been ruined, dreams have been crushed, and relationships ended because of bullying.
We take a stand against bullying, in all its forms. There will be no bullying here.
Instead, we promote a space of life affirming words, an atmosphere of encouragement, and a website that seeks to enrich peoples’ lives instead of destroying it.
We hope that you will join Pink Shirt Day, even if you can’t put on a pink shirt, or you don’t have anything pink to wear. Take a stand against bullying where you are.
